Terms of use
Effective date: July 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of estimate.directwindows.ca and our online estimator. They’re short on purpose. By using the site, you agree to them.
Estimates are price ranges, not offers
The estimator gives you an informational price range based on the window sizes, types, and quantities you describe. It is an estimate — not a binding offer, quote, or contract, and not a guarantee of final pricing. It exists to give you an honest ballpark before anyone visits your home.
Final pricing comes after an on-site measurement
Your final price is confirmed only after a technician measures your openings on site and reviews the details of the installation. If your descriptions were close, the final number should land inside your range — but details we can’t see online (opening condition, access, custom work) can move it. No work happens, and nothing is owed, until you’ve agreed to a written final price.
Service area
We provide estimates and installations in the Greater Toronto Area plus Hamilton, Kitchener–Waterloo, Barrie, and Oshawa. If you’re outside this area, the estimator may still give you a range, but we may not be able to complete the installation.
Acceptable use of the estimator
The estimator is for homeowners (and people helping them) who want a price for a real window or door project. Please don’t:
- use bots, scripts, or automated tools to send messages or scrape responses;
- attempt to overload, probe, or interfere with the service;
- submit content that’s unlawful, abusive, or someone else’s personal information without their permission.
To keep the service fast and free, usage is rate-limited (currently 5 messages per minute and 100 per day). We may block or throttle use that exceeds these limits or violates these terms.
Limitation of liability
The site and estimator are provided “as is.” We work to keep them accurate and available, but we don’t warrant that they’ll be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Direct Windows is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on an estimate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, or the written warranties that come with a completed installation.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
